April 28

(D) Arrival, meet & greet and transfer to Ramada Plaza Herradura. Welcome dinner. Overnight at Ramada Plaza Herradura.

 

April 29

(B,D) Departure to Manuel Antonio National Park visiting Poas Volcano National Park. Poas Volcano, located about 1 ½ hrs away from San José, is an impressive active volcano featuring one of the largest craters in the world. The volcano offers spectacular views of the Central Valley and a network of trails that allows visitors to hike through the evergreen cloud forest that surrounds it. After visiting Poas, continue the journey to Manuel Antonio, located on the Central Pacific Coast. We will stop in Jaco beach for a lunch break (on your own. Arrival to Manuel Antonio in the mid afternoon. Check-in at El Parador Hotel and Hotel inspection. Dinner at the hotel. Ov. Hotel El Parador

 

April 30

(B,L) Hotel Inspection. Lunch at Si Como No Hotel. Hotel inspection. Dinner at your own. Overnight in El Parador.

 

May 1

(B,L) Departure to Monteverde. We will stop on the way at Marriott Los Suenos for inspection continuing afterwards to Villa Caletas Hotel, where we will have lunch. Arrival to Monteverde in the mid afternoon.

This community, which is located on a secluded plateau at 4600 ft, was founded in 1951 by a group of North American Quakers. The founder’s environmental consciousness, together with help from private organizations, led to the creation of a biological preserve that hosts one of the richest ecological systems in the country. Due to its location at a relatively high altitude, Monteverde's climate is rather fresh. Temperatures range from 55-75ºF. Clouds, mist, rain and eventual rays of sunshine bring life and enchantment to this beautiful cloud forest and makes it an ideal place to explore the nature and wildlife of this incredible habitat.

Check-in at El Establo Hotel and inspection. Dinner on your own. Overnight at El Establo.

 

May 2

(B,L,D) Visit to Selvatura Park, where we will do the Canopy Tour and the Tree Top Walkways Tour. The famous 3 hour zip line tour offers you the opportunity of flying over the canopy of an exotic cloud forest through 15 cables and 18 platforms. Selvatura Park features one of the most exciting Canopy Tours in Costa Rica, as it includes the longest cable and is located inside the Monteverde Cloud Forest.

Our adventure will be complemented with a hike at Selvatura's Tree Top Walkways, which consist of a 1.9 mile trail that crosses through the Monteverde Cloud Forest. Here we will have the chance to walk on eight different bridges with various lengths ranging between 150 feet up to 510 feet and altitudes ranging between 36 feet up to 180 feet. The Tree Top Walkways are suitable for people of all ages and are a great way to experience the marvels of this natural sanctuary. The duration of the hike usually takes between 1.5 and 2 hours.

Lunch will take place at Selvatura. We will continue our activity with hotel inspections during the afternoon. Dinner at Fonda Vela Hotel. Overnight in El Establo.

 

May 3

(B,L,D) Today we will depart to the Arenal Volcano area. This scenic ride will take us downhill on the slopes of the Tilaran Mountain Range and then across Lake Arenal, where we will have the opportunity to enjoy great views of Arenal Volcano and its surroundings. Once in Arenal we will proceed to Arenal Nayara Hotel for lunch and inspection.

After lunch we will continue to to Arenal Manoa Hotel. Check in and inspection. Later on we will continue with a visit to The Springs Resort where we will enjoy a relaxing dip at the hot springs and a delicious dinner. Overnight at Arenal Manoa Hotel.

 

May 4

(B,D) Visit to Arenal Volcano National Park. The majestic Arenal Volcano is one of the most active volcanoes in the Western Hemisphere. Its perfect-formed cone and constant eruptions of lava impress visitors from all over the world.

We will depart to San Jose, where we will arrive in the early afternoon. Check-in at Aurola Holiday Inn hotel in downton San Jose and free time for lunch (on your own). In the late afternoon we will we will do a couple of hotel inspections and finalize with a farewell dinner. Overnight at Costa Rica Marriott

 

May 5

(B) Transfer to the international airport.
