This is an exciting journey into Guatemala's diverse and authentic Mayan Heritage: The living Maya in the Highlands with beautiful lakes and colorful villages. Arrive Guatemala City on Saturday or Wednesday.
Day 1 - Arrival Guatemala City
Upon arrival at the International Airport in Guatemala City you are met by our local representative and transferred to your hotel.

Day 2 - Chichicastenango
Depart early to Chichicastenango, the largest and most colorful handicrafts market in The Americas. Every Thursday and Sunday, Maya people from all over Guatemala, meet to sell their products and visit the town’s Catholic Church, Santo Tomas, to pray in their own way becoming the best example of syncretism of the Maya and Catholic traditions.

Day 3 - Lake Atitlan
An interesting geological formation, Atitlan is a lake of volcanic origin, located at 5,000 feet above sea level and surrounded by 3 imposing volcanoes and in the heart of the Living Maya culture. Boat tour to visit San Juan La Laguna, a town famous for naďf paintings and women’s fair trade textile cooperatives that preserve natural dyes and textile traditions. Free afternoon to enjoy the hotel gardens or the lively main street in Panajachel town.

Day 4 - Lake Atitlan
Transfer to Antigua visiting en route the Iximche Archaeological Site from the Maya Post-Classic, built in 1470 and destroyed by the Spanish Conquistadores in 1524. Lunch will be served in a home of a Mayan Cackquiquel family in a nearby village.

Day 5 - Antigua
Antigua is an UNESCO World Heritage Site due to the incredibly preserved Spanish Colonial heritage. Founded in 1542, it served as the Capital of Central
America for over 200 years. Morning visit to its most impressive palaces, plazas, churches, and convents. Free afternoon.
