This "Discovery" trip to Chile is an action packed 9 day package with a focus on the cultural characteristics of this beautiful region of our world. Tour cities such as Santiago, Puerto Varas, and Puerto Natales.
Day 1 - Santiago de Chile
Arrive in Santiago, Capitol City of Chile. Transfer to the hotel. Afternoon half day city tour: visiting the main attractions of Santiago de Chile: Bernardo O´Higgins Avenue (also called “Alameda”), the Providencia District, the Cerro San Cristóbal, Metropolitano Park, Forestal Park, the Bellas Artes Museum, Armas Square with its cathedral, and The Town Hall of Santiago. The tour continues its way to the most antique area of Santiago, consisting of beautiful historic mansions.
Return to the Hotel.
Day 2 - Santiago de Chile
Breakfast at hotel and departure for a wine tour. Transfer from your hotel to San Fernando. Around 10 AM you’ll embark on the Wine train destined for Santa Cruz. You'll be provided an opportunity to enjoy local wines and cheeses while en route. Upon arrival we visit Colchagua’s museum and have lunch in a local vineyard.
In the afternoon you’ll have a guided tour in the vineyard with a wine tasting included. Afterwards you’ll take a cable car to the observatory and visit the Aymara, Mapuche and Rapa Nui’s villages.
Return to your hotel.
Day 3 - Santiago de Chile/Puerto Mont/Puerto Varas
Transfer to the airport to fly to Puerto Montt City. Upong arrival transfer to Puerto Varas which overlooks Llaquihue Lake.
Rest of the day at leisure.
Day 4 - Puerto Varas/Lake Cross Tour/Bariloche
Today we embark on a full day lake cross tour departing from Puerto Varas. The tour will then follow to Petrohue, bordering Llanquihue Lake. Throughout the journey, you will be able to enjoy imposing sights of Osorno and Calbuco Volcanoes.
Continue to Vicente Perez National Park, where you will visit the Petrohue falls. Next we will travel to Peulla, and ecological village paradise for the nature lovers and enjoy a leisurely lunch. (not included).
We will now board a bus destined for Puerto Frias. (Requires customs procedures to exit Chile and enter Argentina) We will then cross the Andes Mountains ( 976 metres above sea level). Once we are in Puerto Blest , this will be our last navigation through Nahuel Huapi Lake with destination to Puerto Pañuelo, in Bariloche.
Transfer to our hotel upong arrival in Bariloche (Argentina).
Day 5 - Bariloche/Puerto Varas
Transfer to local bus station for our transfer to Puerto Varas in Chile.
Transfer to hotel upon arrival.
Day 6 - Puerto Varas/Puerto Montt/Punta Arenas/Puerto Natales
Transfer to the local airport in PMC to fly to Punta Arenas. Arrive and transfer to local bus station to continue to Puerto Natales.
Arrive and transfer to hotel.
Day 7 - Puerto Natales/Paine/Puerto Natales
Today we enjoy a full day tour to Torres del Paine: the tour starts very early in the morning from Puerto Natales. This tour allows us to cover a great portion of the park through the different roads that surround the mountain mass. Once in the National Park “Torres del Paine”, we can enjoy its particular relief, rough geography, its lakes, flora and fauna, which make an ideal spot for the ecotourism and adventure sports practice. The amazing landscape results from the earth movements that took place 12 million years ago giving rise to amazing peaks like el Monte Paine Grande, Los Cuernos del Paine and Torres el Paine. We will also visit the Nordenskjoldm Lake, from where the imposing “Cuernos”(horns) reside. Later on, we continue to the Grey Glacier, where we enjoy a leisurely stroll lakeside, watching the glacier and observing the ice floes that are detached from the glacier.
Day 8 - Puerto Natales/Punta Arenas/Santiago
Transfer to local Airport in Punta Arenas to fly back to Santiago.
Arrive and transfer to the hotel.
Day 9 - Santiago de Chile
Transfer to the international Airport for return home.
