The 2013 Panama Dry Season Tour is jam packed with exciting tours including visits to Boquete and El Valle. And what would a visit to Panama be without that much needed rest and relaxation that only the beach can provide. You will also have the opportunity to experience the progression of the monumental third lane expansion of The Panama Canal.

Day 1 Thursday – Arrival in Panama City

Depart US and arrive in Panama. Transfer on arrival to the Country Inn Amador. Due to varying arrival times, dinner will be on your own.

Accommodations in an Ocean side room.

 

Day 2 Friday – Canal Area Tour

Breakfast at Country Inn. Following breakfast you will begin your tour around the former “Canal Zone” areas and landmarks including Goethals Monument, Stevens Circle & the Prado. We will then head out to Gamboa to tour this area. Return to Miraflores Locks visitor center for lunch around 1:30 and watch the ships go through the Canal. As time permits drive through some of the old Canal Zone neighborhoods.

Dinner on the Causeway. Accommodations Country Inn Amador.

 

Day 3 Saturday - Partial Panama Canal Transit

Breakfast at Country Inn. Following breakfast you will begin your Partial Panama Canal Transit. We will go through Gaillard Cut, Pedro Miguel Locks and under the bridge of the Americas. Lunch will be on board the boat. Tour ends at Flamenco Island where you will disembark.

After Transit return to Hotel to freshen up. Then enjoy Dinner at Tinajas where you will be entertained by Panamanian Dancers and the typical gastronomy of Panama.

 

Day 4 Sunday - EL Valle

Breakfast at Country Inn. After check out, we will head to El Valle for tours of the area and the Indian Market. Lunch included. Here is your chance to bargain with the natives and pick up those hand-made souvenirs by the different artisans of Panama.

In the afternoon you will transfer to a Beach Resort. Dinner and accommodations at Beach Resort.

 

Day 5 Monday - Beach Day

Free day at the beach with all meals included. Enjoy all the hotel amenities including the spa or beach club.

Overnight at the Beach.

 

Day 6 Tuesday - Head to Boquete

9:00 am check out and head to Boquete. We will drive along the Inter-American highway for the 6-7 hour transfer to Boquete. There will be a stop in NATA to see the oldest church in the western hemisphere and comfort stops on the way. Boxed lunch included.

Upon arrival to the Volcan we will check into the Valle Escondido Hotel or Similar for dinner and accommodations.

 

Day 7 Wednesday – Boquete tour

Breakfast included - For those that want to go birding for the chance to see the most beautiful bird in the Western Hemisphere, the Resplendant Quetzal, we will rise at 5:00 am and return by mid morning. Upon return the entire group will tour the Boquete area to include a coffee plantation and flower farms w/lunch included.

Free night for you – Dinner included.

 

Day 8 Thursday – Boquete/Panama

Breakfast at the hotel and a leisure morning. Check out around lunch and dine at local restaurants, then head into David mid afternoon for flight back to Panama City.

Tansfer on arrival into the Intercontinental Miramar Hotel for dinner and accommodations.

 

Day 9 Friday – Full day Panama City Tour

Breakfast at the hotel. Today we will tour the Panama City sites including the Reprosa Gold Factory Panama Viejo, Casco Antiguo and other sites. Lunch is included in Casco Antiguo. Time alotment for shopping in the afternoon.

Despedida dinner at a Panama City Restaurant and Accommodations at the Intercontinental Miramar Hotel.

 

Day 10 Saturday

Final morning. We will depart Panama via Tocumen Intl. Airport and return stateside. Early morning breakfast is included depending on flight.
