Travel Itinerary

Day 1



- Upon arrival in Lima, meet and transfer to your hotel.

Overnight in Lima

Day 2


Lima, Cusco, Sacred Valley

- Transfer to airport for flight to Cusco.


- Upon arrival you will head to Chinchero. Continue to the PARWA Center, where you can appreciate beautiful textiles and even buy some to take home.

- Afterwards, visit the Church of Chinchero, which was built by the Spanish in 1607 and remains standing until today.

- Continue with the visit to the Chinchero ruins, where you will find an important Inca center in which terraces and aqueducts were built.

Overnight in Cusco

Day 3


Sacred Valley


- You will leave the Sacred Valley to visit the salt mines of Maras, where the finest salt in the world is extracted: Maras salt.

- Then, you will visit Moray, a fascinating archaeological site in the Sacred Valley of the Incas. You will visit its huge concentric terraces, which the Incas used as a botanical laboratory.

- Afterwards, you will visit the Misminay community, where you will be received in a very special way by its inhabitants. Engage in some of the activities available in the community, which help improve the environment and lifestyle of Misminay families.

- At the end, you will enjoy an exquisite lunch prepared by the members of the community with local ingredients.

Overnight in Sacred Valley

Day 4


Sacred Valley, Aguas Calientes

Transfer to Ollantaytambo Station to take the Vistadome Train.

- The excursion starts with a train trip to the town of Aguas Calientes, also known as Machu Picchu Pueblo.

- The natural beauty of the surroundings makes the train the best way to start your visit. When you arrive, you will start the ascent to the ruins, which will, without a doubt, be one of your most unforgettable experiences.

- At Machu Picchu you can see one of the Seven Modern Wonders of the World and take some impressive photos.

- Then head back down to Aguas Calientes for lunch in a local restaurant.

Day 5


Aguas Calientes, Cusco

- Morning at leisure.

OR, For an extra cost, an optional second visit to Machu Picchu is possible.

- Later, you will board the Vistadome train to Ollantaytambo Station and transfer to the hotel.

Overnight in Cusco

Day 6


Cusco, Puno


- You will leave the station to start the trip by bus to Puno, enjoying the wonderful landscapes of the South Valley of Cusco on the way.

- First, you will visit Andahuaylillas, where you will find the church of San Pedro, a beautiful seventeenth century building that has an impressive organ, decorated with angels and cherubs.

- Then, visit the ruins of Raqchi -also known as The Temple of God Wiracocha- which have different areas that were used for various purposes.

- At the end of this visit, you will enjoy a delicious and typical lunch buffet at a local restaurant. Then, you will head towards La Raya, the highest point between Cusco and Andahuaylillas, where you will make a brief stop to appreciate the landscape.

- Afterwards, you will head towards Pucara, where you will visit the town and museum of this Inca military construction, which also functioned as an administrative center.

- Upon arrival at the bus station in Puno, you will be transfered to the hotel.

Overnight in Puno

Day 7




- This tour begins at Huayllano, the lake port for the Isle of Taquile, whose inhabitants give a friendly welcome to visitors.

- Traditions, customs and colorful costumes are maintained on the island. The islanders are skilful craftsmen and employ the techniques developed over the centuries by their ancestors.

- You will be welcomed into one of the houses to share their activities, such as weaving. After this is a delicious lunch made from local ingredients. Then, a walk back to the Main Square to board the launch that will take you to the floating islands of Uros.

- These islands consist of layers of totora and are their inhabitants' homes and workplaces.

Overnight in Puno

Day 8




- In the morning you will be transferred from your hotel to your excursion begins on the Panamerican Highway southbound and, when you reach Km marker 20, your driver will exit and take the road that connects Puno with Juliaca.

- This is the route to the Sillustani archeological site, whose appeal is the tall, stone burial towers, some of which stand 12 meters in height and are 7.5 meters in diameter.,/p>

- And with lovely Lake Umayo in the background, it’s an experience you’ll never forget.

- Then transfer to the airport to departure your next flight.
