Travel Itinerary

Day 1



Upon arrival in Lima, meet and transfer to your hotel.

Overnight in Lima.

Day 2


Lima, Cusco, Sacred Valley


- You will visit the modern and colonial parts of the city of Lima, known as The City of Kings, starting with the districts of Miraflores and San Isidro before heading to the Historic Center.

- Once there, you will visit the impressive Convent of Santo Domingo, which will astonish you with its colonial style. Then, you will walk to the Main Square, where you can take pictures of the amazing colonial architecture that surrounds it.

- Then, you will visit the Cathedral, where you will appreciate the Renaissance style of decoration, as well as its statues of apostles.

- Finally, you will visit the San Francisco Convent, considered one of the most historic buildings in the city, where the catacombs, the oldest and most famous cemetery in Lima, are located.

- Then you will be transferred directly to the airport to departure your flight.

- At the scheduled time, when you arrive in Cusco you will be transferred from the airport to the Sacred Valley.

Overnight in Sacred Valley.

Day 3


Sacred Valley


- You will leave the Sacred Valley to visit the salt mines of Maras, where the finest salt in the world is extracted: Maras salt.

- Then, you will visit Moray, a fascinating archaeological site in the Sacred Valley of the Incas. You will visit its huge concentric terraces, which the Incas used as a botanical laboratory.

- Afterwards, you will visit the Misminay community, where you will be received in a very special way by its inhabitants. Engage in some of the activities available in the community, which help improve the environment and lifestyle of Misminay families.

- At the end, you will enjoy an exquisite lunch prepared by the members of the community with local ingredients.

Overnight in Sacred Valley.

Day 4


Sacred Valley, Aguas Calientes


- The excursion starts with a train trip to the town of Aguas Calientes, also known as Machu Picchu Pueblo. The natural beauty of the surroundings makes the train the best way to start your visit.

- When you arrive, you will start the ascent to the ruins, which will, without a doubt, be one of your most unforgettable experiences.

- At Machu Picchu you can see one of the Seven Modern Wonders of the World and take some impressive photos.

- Then head back down to Aguas Calientes for lunch in a local restaurant.

Overnight in Aguas Calientes.

Day 5


Aguas Calientes, Cusco

Optional Tour: Second entrance to Machu Picchu (Unguided) at additional cost

- A Second visit to Machu Picchu.

- You will board the Vistadome train back to Ollanta and transfer to the hotel.

Overnight in Cusco.

Day 6


Cusco, Arequipa


- Get to know the city of Cusco, an UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site and possessor of a style of its own.

- The tour begins at the Koricancha Temple, an old Incan palace and main center for the worship of the sun god, Inti. Once the Spanish conquered Peru, the Dominican order built a lovely church over this temple’s foundations: the church of Santo Domingo.

- Your next destination is the Main Square, upon which sits the Cathedral, the beautiful Church of La Compañia de Jesus (Society of Christ), and other Colonial period buildings.

- Then we will visit the San Blas neighborhood, where we will see the San Blas Church and the artisans.

- At the scheduled time, transfer to the airport to board the departure flight.

- Upon arrival in Arequipa, you will be assisted and transferred to the hotel to take a rest.

Overnight in Arequipa.

Day 7




- You will head to Pampa Cañahuas, a place of breathtaking landscapes and habitat for a large number of vicunas and local fauna.

- Then, make a stop in Patahuasi to cool off, way, you will pass through Tocrapampa where you can see beautiful landscapes.

- Then you will head to the town of Chivay, where you will have lunch. Finally, you will return to your hotel.

Overnight in Colca.

Day 8


Colca, Arequipa


- You will head to the Condor’s Cross, the best location to admire the Colca Canyon and -if the weather permits- you will be able to observe the flight of the majestic condor.

- Then, you will visit the town of Maca, before continuing to the town of Chivay, where you will enjoy a delicious lunch.

**Optional tour: La Calera Hot Springs.**

Then you will be transferred to your hotel in Arequipa.

Overnight in Arequipa.

Day 9




- You will head to the Historic Center and start the tour with a walk through the Main Square, as well as through the most representative streets of the city.

- You will visit the San Francisco church and the Third Order, appreciating its beautiful facades and interior architecture.

- Then, you will head to the Santa Catalina Monastery, founded in 1580, where you can appreciate its cloisters, picturesque streets and squares, which have remained intact over the centuries.

- At the scheduled time, you will be transferred to the airport to board your departure flight.
