There’s something magical about stepping into the heart of Peru—whether you’re wandering through the vibrant streets of Cusco, marveling at Machu Picchu, or sharing a meal with local communities in the Sacred Valley. But what if you could explore Peru with the expertise of someone who knows the ins and outs of every destination?
That’s exactly what Condor Tours & Travel offers, thanks to our expert travel advisor, Pat. With decades in the industry, Pat has seen travel evolve from handwritten airline tickets to digital bookings—but one thing remains unchanged: firsthand experience is everything when it comes to crafting the perfect trip.
Why Firsthand Expertise Matters
Pat recently led a Familiarization (FAM) trip to Peru, guiding fellow travel professionals through the country’s most breathtaking destinations. These trips allow advisors to fully immerse themselves in a destination, ensuring that when they design your travel experience, they’re not just working off brochures—they’ve lived it.
So, why should travelers care? Because this level of expertise translates directly to you: ✅ Access to the best local guides, ensuring authentic experiences.✅ Seamless travel planning—no wasted time searching for must-see spots.✅ A stress-free journey, even when last-minute changes arise.
A Journey Through Peru
Pat’s trip began in Lima, where she explored Miraflores, San Isidro, and the rich history of the Convent of Santa Domingo and Casa del Aliaga. She ended the city stay with a visit to the renowned Rafael Larco Herrera Museum before heading to the breathtaking Sacred Valley.
In the Sacred Valley, Pat and her group visited the Andean Textile Center and Museum of Sulca, experiencing the artistry of Peruvian weaving. A highlight of the trip was spending time with the community of Misminay, where they shared a meal and learned about local traditions.
Of course, no trip to Peru is complete without Machu Picchu.

Traveling by train to Aguas Calientes, the group marveled at the wild river below before reaching the awe-inspiring ruins. As Pat puts it, “Machu Picchu is a truly spiritual experience—one that stays with you long after you leave.”
The journey concluded in Cusco, where Pat explored the lively San Pedro Market and participated in an immersive cooking class, blending history with culinary traditions.
